Forum Christmas tree lit up by panto magic!

The Forum’s Christmas tree, raising money for good causes has been officially switched on with some pantomime magic.

The tree is named Elliott's Tree in honour of seven-year-old Elliott Frary who has close ties to Taverham Nursery Centre and was born with a rare chromosome disorder.

Dick Whittington played by Gyasi Sheppi (CBeebies) from Norwich Theatre Royal’s pantomime Dick Whittington and his Cat which runs from 11 December to 19 January gave the final sparkle to the magnificent tree.

The Forum Christmas tree has been donated and decorated by the family who run Taverham Nursery Centre for everyone to enjoy, whilst raising money and awareness for their chosen charity The Clare School.

Margaret Seaman, the 92 year old charity knitter from Yarmouth, whose knitted Sandringham House has made international headlines, was also in attendance selling hand made knitted items to support the Claire School.

The festive switch on was accompanied by carols performed by Village Voices who will be raising money for the Big C charity.
